Manila : A magnitude 4.8 earthquake was recorded off General Santos City in southern Philippines Sunday afternoon without causing casualty or damage, the local television network GMA News reported.
The report quoted the United States Geological Service (USGS) as saying the quake was recorded at 15:34 local time (0734 GMT) with the epicenter being 87 kilometer south-southeast of General Santos City.
The epicenter was also 185 km south of Davao, 248 km southeast of Cotabato, or 1,013 km west-southwest of Manila, said the report.
