Kabul : A roadside bomb exploded in southern afghanistan early Tuesday injuring three Afghan policemen and more than a dozen civilians, security officials reported.
The officials added, the bomb was planted on a bicycle parked on a roadside in Kandahar province of the volatile country. All the injured were travelling in a bus which was passing by the area when the bomb exploded. No one claimed responsibility for the blast so far, official said.
Meanwhile, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said they had killed two militants and arrested four others during an operation in the southern province of Uruzgan.
A statement from ISAF headquarters here said the troops were attacked by “insurgents” during a routine patrol in the area.
The soldiers returned fire and killed two of the attackers, and arrested four others. No NATO soldiers was hurt in the exchange on fire
