New Delhi : Sayan Chatterjee was Tuesday appointed the new Sports Authority of India (SAI) director general.
Chatterjee will replace Ratan Watal, who has served as SAI DG for five years, sources in the sports ministry said.
Chatterjee is a 1976 cadre IAS officer and has also served as the deputy election commissioner.
Watal will get an additional secretary level post as his promotion was due, sources said.
