The lawmakers asked Egyptian authorities to assist Iraq in blocking out attempts by those who negatively interfere in the nation’s affairs, said a spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, in statements to the press Wednesday.

Iraq is looking forward to having Arab states show their presence there, whether in diplomatic guise or any other, in a bid to boost Iraq’s attempt to stem the tide of foreign intervention into its domestic affairs by agents from regional states, said the spokesman.

Acknowledging the precarious condition Iraq is going through, Abulgheit indicated that Egypt was seriously contemplating to dispatch an expeditionary mission to Iraq to take a closer look at events and the possibility of reviving its diplomatic presence there, said the spokesman.
