New Delhi : India is considering to install a conveyer belt at Wagah border for hassle-free trade with Pakistan.

Indian Minister of State for Industry Ashwani Kumar told mediapersons in Jalandhar on Friday Indian government would talk with Pakistan on the subject.

The conveyor belt would help in hassle-free trade and Punjab would be the main beneficiary, he said.
He further said work on the dedicated freight corridor up to Ludhiana city was in progress and it would be extended up to Amritsar.

Industrial estates will be established along with the corridor, he said.

Pakistan and India are in upgrading facilities at Wagah to boost trade between both the countries.
