Kim Sook, Seoul’s top negotiator at the six-nation talks, and US Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill are expected to arrive in Moscow next week.

They will hold negotiations with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Borodavkin, the new head of the Russian delegation to six-nation talks, which also involve North Korea, China and Japan.

Six-party negotiations on North Korea’s nuclear program stalled after Pyongyang failed last December to disclose full information on its nuclear work.

Pyongyang started disabling its Yongbyon nuclear plant late last year as part of a deal with the US, China, Russia, Japan and South Korea in exchange for economic aid and diplomatic incentives.

According to South Korean news agency Yonhap, South Korea is seeking to purchase nuclear fuel rods stored at North Korea’s main atomic facility, an issue planned to be discussed during a new round of talks.
