Mumbai : The United Breweries-promoted Kingfisher Airlines will launch daily direct flight between Vadodara and Bangalore from June 1, a company official said Friday.
“The launch of a daily direct flight from Vadodara to Bangalore will offer travellers from Gujarat excellent connectivity with south India,” said Siva Ramachandran, vice president (global sales), Kingfisher Airlines. An Airbus A-320 will be deployed on this route.
“Besides catering to the demand from traders and entrepreneurs in the cosmopolitan city of Vadodara and the neighbouring region, the new daily direct flight from Vadodara to Bangalore is also targeted at PSUs (public sector undertakings), SME (small and medium enterprise) companies operating in the engineering, manufacturing, automotive, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors,” added Ramachandran.
With the launch of the new services, the airlines now have more than 252 departures a day and will serve 38 destinations with a fleet of 42 aircraft.
