Harare : Zimbabwe’s opposition Movement for Democratic Change leader Morgan Tsvangirai on Saturday returned to Zimbabwe after over a month abroad, local media New Ziana reported.
The opposition leader was met at the Harare International Airport by a number of Western diplomats.
“Its good to be back,” Tsvangirai told reporters at the airport. He said he was not worried when asked about security concerns.
Tsvangirai, who was on self-imposed exile, twice postponed his return amid allegations of an assassination plot, but the government has dismissed the claims.
He would take part in presidential run-off with ZANU-PF leader Robert Mugabe on June 27.
The candidates failed to win outright during the March 29 poll.
