Led by Nationalist Congress Party MLA Rambir Singh Bidhuri, the protestors gathered at the Jantar Mantar and demanded imposition of president’s rule in Rajasthan.

“The Vasundhara Raje government has failed to deliver on its earlier promises to give ST status to Gujjars. Now they are killing the Gujjars,” Bidhuri told IANS.

They also sought registering of a criminal case against the police officials whose “indiscriminate firing” resulted in the death of 37 people.

“The doors to negotiation have been slammed shut by the Raje government due to the killing of Gujjars by the police. Compensation should be announced for those killed and injured,” Bidhuri demanded.
