Mumbai : The Indian equities markets opened with a positive gap Wednesday.
The 30-share benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, the Sensex, opened with a gain of 83.03 points at 16,358.62.
The S&P Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange opened at 4,862.70 points with a marginal gain of 2.90 points compared to its previous close.
Other Asian markets however, were trading lower.
