Emami Q4 profit up by 52 percent

Kolkata : Fast-moving consumer goods firm Emami Limited Wednesday announced a net profit of Rs.350 million for the quarter ended March 2008, showing a rise of 52 percent over the corresponding period in the previous year.

The company’s turnover for the quarter was Rs.1.79 billion, up by 19 percent over the previous quarter.

For the year ended March 31, 2008, net profit stood at Rs.927 million, a 41 percent growth over last year.

The company recommended a higher dividend of 225 percent at Rs.4.5 per share for 2007-08 compared to 200 percent in the previous year.
