London : Wayne Rooney, the football star of Manchester United, is tying the knot with Coleen McLoughlin next month and has requested the Irish band Westlife to perform at his wedding.
The couple have decided to marry at a former 14th century monastery on the Italian riviera June 14, when the music band takes a break from touring.
Thesun.co.uk reports that the 22-year-old star was eager to have the band at least perform for the wedding after they couldn’t make it for his 21st birthday.
“Some of Wayne’s teammates gave him a bit of stick but he knows how much Coleen loves them,” said a source.
