Not only this, he said, these agencies and government are showing negligence in discharging their official duties by not taking any notice of the unrest spreading among Muslims. Expressing his anger over the way a Qazi was arrested from Bharatpur in Rajasthan, Dr. Alam said the justice-loving people of this country who believe in supremacy of law shall continue opposing this irresponsible approach.

AIMC general secretary said thousands of people gathered at Jaipur’s Birla Auditorium on Sunday to register their protest that intelligence agencies are committing unjustified and illegal acts on pretext of terrorism. The meet was organized in the leadership of Justice Rajinder Sachar.

A resolution passed in this anti-terrorism conference demanded the government and its machinery to stop the trend of targeting a particular community on pretext of terrorism and ask the intelligence agencies to nab the real culprits. It was also demanded that even if a person is taken in custody on the basis of suspicion, he should not be presented as a culprit before the media until his crime is established. Dr. Manzoor Alam said instead of heeding to this appeal by prominent citizens of the country, they arrested the Qazi Mohammad Ilias from Bharatpur the very next day.
