Priyabrata Patnaik was summoned to the Badagada police station at state capital Bhubaneswar where he was questioned, an official of the police station told IANS on condition of anonymity.

However, he did not disclose the detail of the questions the police asked and the replies the bureaucrat gave. “We cannot reveal any thing now,” he said.

Patnaik, who was questioned for over three hours, also refused to divulge any thing.

Das, a former coach of six-year-old marathon sensation Budhia Singh, was shot dead April 13, outside a judo centre in Bhubaneswar.

Gangster Raja Acharya, who has over 30 cases of extortion, murder and kidnapping against him, is a prime suspect in the murder and is currently in jail.

The police have arrested another criminal, Chhagla alias Bijoy Sahu, who claimed that he was a witness to the crime.

The police last month questioned Patnaik after Sahu said that the conspiracy to kill Das was hatched at the behest of five people, including Priyabrata Patnaik and two women.
