AirAsia to connect Kuala Lumpur, Tiruchirapalli

Chennai : To tap the growing traffic between India and Malaysia, the Malaysia-based Air Asia will start daily service between Kuala Lumpur and Tiruchirapalli from Dec 1.

Over the next one and half years, the airline intends to connect Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Additionally, affiliate low-cost long haul airline AirAsia X will connect New Delhi and Mumbai.

As an introductory offer, AirAsia will offer a basic fare of Rs.699 (RM49) on the Kuala Lumpur-Tiruchirapalli sector before taxes and other charges.

The offer is valid between Dec 1 and July 31, 2009.
