New Delhi : Concerned over the global economic slowdown and its impact on India’s economic health, the government Friday constituted a committee to address the issue.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has given his approval for constituting the committee, which would have secretaries of the finance and commerce ministries, as well as secretaries of the Planning Commission and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion.
“The expert body will help government bail out India from the ongoing financial crisis,” a government statement said.
