Malaysian pilgrims head for Mecca

Medinah : Malaysian pilgrims have begun their journey to the holy city of Mecca with about 1,000 of them leaving from here since Friday.

A Pilgrims Fund (Tabung Haji) spokesman more are due to leave Saturday night and will be boarding nine buses for the journey.

He added the pilgrims arriving here would be allowed to spent nine days visiting holy sites, the Prophet Muhammad’s mausoleum before making their onward journey to Mecca.
