Baghdad : A car bomb explosion in northeastern Baghdad on Wednesday killed two civilians and wounded10 others, an Interior Ministry source said.
“A car bomb parking at al-Madaris Street in the Shaab neighborhood, detonated around midday, killing two civilians and injuring 10 others,” the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The blast damaged several nearby civilian cars and buildings, the source said.
The explosion was the second deadly attack in Baghdad in the day after a car bomb exploded in the Battaween area in central Baghdad, leaving four civilian killed and 14 others wounded, including two policemen.
Also in the Shiite neighborhood of Shaab, a roadside bomb exploded near a minibus carrying passengers in an intersection, wounding seven people aboard, including two women, the police said.
Despite security gains in recent months in Iraq, there are still sporadic bombings, which shape setback to the Iraqi government.
