Raipur : The Chhattisgarh police Saturday seized a car loaded with liquor bottles here. The police suspect that the liquor was meant for distribution among voters ahead of the second phase of polling in the state assembly elections.
The second and final phases of polling for the state assembly elections are due Nov 20.
Lal Umed Singh, city superintendent of police, told reporters: “Kotwali police that seized the Alto car have registered a case and are investigating the case to find out which party and candidate has purchased the wine”.
