A district official said the boycott took place in the Jitvapur-Vishnupur and Sindghiya Khurd villages, 100 km from Patna.

“We have been fighting for survival after kerosene due to us was not provided. We refused to let our children be administered polio vaccine to draw the administration’s attention to our plight,” said a villager, Ramesh Ram.
