Srinagar : Twenty-one trucks Tuesday crossed the Line of Control (LoC) – the de facto border between India and Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir – carrying goods from either side to the other.
Six trucks carrying apples, dried gourd and other consignments crossed the Kaman Bridge on the LoC in Baramulla district and unloaded at Chakoti in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, an official told IANS by telephone from Salamabad near the border town of Uri.
At least 15 load carriers carrying onions, pomegranates and garlic came from Chakoti and unloaded their consignments at Salamabad, the official said.
The cross-LoC trade was re-started Oct 21 after the first trade convoy in 60 years trundled across the LoC that divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
