MECOM held at BHEL Bhopal unit

Bhopal: Management Employee Communication Meeting, (MECOM), on “Challenges to execute Order Book commitments” was held here on Saturday at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), Bhopal unit.

R. K. Singh, Executive Director, BHEL Bhopal, all other GMs and a number of Executives and Employees were present on this occasion.

Singh while resolving various issues & problems raised by the employees discussed in detail the national & international business scenario especially in the field of Energy.

Singh congratulated all the employees for their outstanding achievements on all business parameters along with turnover at the half yearly ending of the company. He said that it is a historical achievement of employees of BHEL Bhopal as the Unit stands on the top in the entire Corporation achieving 39 per cent of the annual turnover and estimated profit at the end of the half year which is more than the budgeted estimate. BHEL Bhopal has touched new heights in the field of Turnover, Cash Collection, Cash Surplus, filing of patents, efficient Inventory & Payment to Vendors setting a new dimension .

Prabhat Kumar, GM (P&D), made a presentation on the efforts initiated in the various areas by BHEL Bhopal, Plans implemented by the unit for CII EXIM Award and the issues and suggestions discussed at Joint Committee Meeting organised at Goa recently. He said that BHEL is making extensive investment for its ambitious turnover and capacity expansion in the coming years & recruitment as well as training of the personnel is underway for strengthening manpower.

Singh presented joint shield of Business Excellence Award Trophy (BEAT-2008) to SCR & TPTN in production area & Capital Investment & Works Engineering Group in Functional area.
