New Delhi : Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived here Tuesday on an official visit, and was welcomed by his Indian counterpart Pratibha Patil.
He also visited the tomb of the late Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi, where he laid a wreath of flowers.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he discussed the progress of the peace process in the Middle East, and the Palestinian national dialogue.
They also discussed the bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them.
