Yangon : At least seven passengers were killed when a bus exploded in Myanmar’s former capital of Yangon early Monday morning, eyewitnesses said.
The explosion occurred at about 3:00 am at the northern suburb area of the city, they said.
The cause of the explosion has not yet been confirmed by the authorities.
Meanwhile, seven people were injured in an explosion in a park near the City Hall in the heart of Yangon and a cassette tape recorder designed to control a time-bomb for detonation was also seized nearby and defused five minutes earlier by the police last month.
