New Delhi : Delhi Police’s Special Cell Monday launched an investigation to find out who had sent a threatening email to President Pratibha Patil.
“Initial investigations showed that the threatening and abusive email originated from Tamil Nadu. But we are still in the process of verifying it,” said a senior police official.
“The email could be a prank but we have taken up the matter seriously. Till now no case has been registered,” the official added.
The email was sent to the president’s official email IDs from a gmail account. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rashtrapati Bhavan) S.B.S. Tyagi forwarded it to the Special Cell Sunday.
