“It was the demand of all parties, there were no differences,” said a legislator of the state’s ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

To put pressure on the central government, the meeting also decided to send an all-party delegation from Bihar to meet the prime minister and the home minister on the issue, he said.

MNS activists had Sunday attacked north Indian candidates, particularly Biharis, appearing for a railway recruitment exam in Mumbai as part of the party’s campaign against migrants.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had called the all-party meet to discuss the situation in the wake of violent anti-MNS protests by students across the state since Tuesday. The protests continued Thursday.
