Mumbai : Six vehicles and an electric metre cabin were torched by four youths early Wednesday after a heated argument over lighting up of Diwali firecrackers, the police said.
The incident occurred about 3 a.m. in Dahisar suburb of northwest Mumbai when some people objected to the neighbourhood children lighting up firecrackers where their vehicles were parked.
In a fit of rage, the youths torched an electric metre cabin and the vehicles in the vicinity and escaped.
A Toyoto Innova, a Maruti Omni Van, two autorickshaws and two motorcycles were gutted in the blaze, the police said.
The police have arrested Vikas Ramdushar Morya (19), and are on the lookout for his three accomplices who are absconding.
