The pilotless drone plane fired three missiles and targeted two houses in the North Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan, leaving four children dead and several others injured. It was the third such attack in as many days, according to the channel.

Five foreigners were killed Thursday in a missile attack by an unmanned US plane in the Momadkhel village of North Waziristan, Dawn newspaper reported Friday.

On Wednesday, 10 civilians were killed in a raid by US-led coalition forces in the south Waziristan tribal area.

In a strong reaction to Wednesday’s incident, both houses of parliament Thursday condemned the air raid and asked the government to take measures to “repel such attacks in the future with full force”.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi told the house that US troops violated UN principles and international humanitarian norms by launching a ground attack into Angor Adda area of South Waziristan.

“Investigations have revealed that innocent citizens, including women and children, were targeted,” Quereshi told parliament.

The foreign office Wednesday summoned the US envoy in Islamabad, Anne W Patterson, and lodged a fomal protest against “the gross violation of Pakistan’s territory and immense loss of civilian life”.
