Bhopal: The Popular Front of India National Executive Council, (NEC), has decided to organize National Political Conference with an objective of achieving total empowerment of depressed and marginalized classes. The conference will be held at Calicut in Kerala on February 13, 14 & 15, 2009.
A Press release of Popular Front, issued by its Media Secretary on Saturday from Bangalore, said adequate political representation and power sharing are pre-requisites for the total empowerment of backward classes and minorities in India. The national politics has so far failed to bring equal justice to all Indians. Instead, political power is being misused as a tool for denying justice. The NEC meeting of Popular Front has pointed out that emergence of a new value-based politics in the path of peoples’ empowerment is the need of the hour.
An organizing committee has been constituted with K. M. Shareef of Mangalore as chairman and O. M. A. Salam Manjeri as general convener.
Popular Front chairman E. Abubacker presided over the meeting. General secretary E. M. Abdul Rahman, Administrative Secretary A. Saeed, Karnataka State president D. Mahboob Shareef, general secretary K. Abdul Latheef, Kerala State general secretary P. Abdul Majeed Faizy, Tamil Nadu State president Muhammed Ali Jinnah, general secretary Ya Mohideen, Moulana Usman Baig, Prof. P. Koya, Adv. K. P. Muhammed Shareef, Moulavi Muhammed Dahlan Baqavi and Muhammed Ismail Ervadi participated in the discussions, the release said. ([email protected])
