Kolkata : Ram Vilas Paswan, minister for steel, chemicals and fertilizers, Tuesday said the Nano project should be taken forward after safeguarding the interests of farmers even as he advocated industrialisation but not at the cost of peasants.
“Industrialisation is important but not at the cost of farmers,” Paswan told reporters.
“We want the Singur project to happen but the benefits of the farmers shall be looked at,” the minister said.
