The experiment began in the morning near Geneva with the switching on of the Hadron Collidor to simulate the situation just before the Big Bang happened all those millions of years ago.

A video on the ‘CERN black hole’ has had more than 1.5 million hits since it was uploaded three days ago.

Another video, ‘CERN in 3 minutes’ has had 488,293 hits so far, followed by ‘Our Final Days’ with 255,301 hits.

In all, around 40 videos have been posted on YouTube about the Collidor, the history of the Bag Bang, experiments previously conducted by the USA and other developed countries and even a video on how cynic scientists reportedly thwarted the bid by former US president, late Ronald Reagan, to conduct an experiment similar to the Hadron Collidor.
