Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) : Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K.V. Thangkabalu Friday revived the demand of his party to be included in the state cabinet.
“Discussions with the rank and file of the party in this matter will be deliberated upon by our executive committee shortly. Thereupon our wishes will be conveyed to the party’s high command which will take an appropriate decision,” Thangkabalu told reporters.
The party workers have urged the state leadership to initiate measures to usher in Kamaraj (Congress) rule in the state, Thangkabalu added.
The state Congress chief was in this textile and industrial city, situated 600 km southwest of capital Chennai, to understand the undercurrents of dissatisfaction over the continuing power crisis in Tamil Nadu that angered a wide section of industrialists.
