Ahmedabad : A human rights organisation in Gujarat has condemned “brutal attacks” since Sunday on several churches and Christian prayer halls in Karnataka.
“We strongly condemn the brutal attacks in Mangalore and surrounding areas on Christians and their their places of worship by goons of the Sangh Parivar,” said Father Cedric Prakash, director of Prashant, a Centre for Human Rights, Justice and Peace.
“They have assaulted innocent and peace-loving people, vandalized property, desecrated places of worship and created terror everywhere. Such behaviour is totally unacceptable and all of us need to hang our heads down in shame,” he said in a statement here Monday.
