Riyadh : The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Abdulrahman Al-Attiya will head to New York next week to participate in the 63rd United Nations General Assembly meeting.
A statement from the GCC Secretariat said Tuesday that Al-Attiya will meet on the sideline of the meeting with heads of state and officials participating in the meeting and will discuss ways of boosting bilateral cooperation between their countries and the GCC.
Al-Attiya will meet as well with the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, the statement added.
The GCC Chief will also take part in the upcoming annual Arab Foreign ministers meeting which will invite the US, China, Russia, European Union, Japan, and officials from Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
