Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kanwaljeet Arora sent Mohammed Saif, who was arrested in Friday’s shootout at Jamia Nagar, and Zeeshan Ahmed, who was arrested from Jhandewalan late Friday, to 14 days’ police custody.

Arguing the case, public persecutor Rajiv Mohan said that during police interrogation, both the alleged terrorists disclosed that 10 others were involved in the Sep 13 synchronized bomb blasts in Delhi.

Mohan urged the court that further interrogation was required to unearth their plans and arrest the rest of the terrorists involved in the bombings.

While granting 14-days police custody, the court said the next hearing would be on Oct 4.

From Delhi Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Yadav was present in the court.

Five synchronized bomb blasts in busy market places in the national capital Sep 13 killed at least 24 people and injured over 100 others.
