New Delhi: Nusrat Ali, Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, has demanded a high-level impartial investigation into the Jamia Nagar police encounter on September 19 in which two alleged suspected terrorists were killed while one was arrested.
In a press statement issued today, JIH Secretary General said that an impartial investigation would expose the reality of the involvement of those youths in terror activities.
He also demanded enquiry into the killing of Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma, who sadly lost his life in the encounter. “According to an ex-IPS official, it is a matter of investigation that why not Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma wore bullet-proof jacket in such a perfectly prepared operation?” says the statement.
Condemning the incidents of terrorism in the country, Ali drew the attention of the government to the fact that establishment of peace can be possible in the country only by impartial investigation of all possible elements and tracing out the real culprits behind the terror attacks. But it is unjust behaviour to blame a particular community or target some particular areas before the investigation because this would create unrest in the society, he added.
He called upon all sincere people of the country to come out for creating the atmosphere of harmony, peace, and fraternity in the society and keep a close eye on anti-social and mischievous elements.
