Chennai : Tamil comedian Vadivelu Sunday filed a complaint against actor-turned-politician Vijaykanth alleging a conspiracy after his residence and office here were stoned by a group of people, police said.
“Vadivelu has cited actor Vijaykanth and 30 others as conspirators in his complaint,” Chennai Police Commissioner R. Sekar told IANS.
Vadivelu told reporters earlier in the day that he and his son Subramanian, who were at home during the attack, were rattled.
“The attackers, in cricket gear, came on 11 motorcycles. The stoning went on for four minutes breaking almost all the window panes of my home. My son and I cowered in fear. Later the gang ransacked my office situated nearby where a story session was underway,” he said.
A little over a year earlier, fans of actor-turned-politician Vijaykanth and Vadivelu clashed in the same area, leading to a brief interrogation of the former’s manager Satish Kumar and the comedian.
