Ranchi : Prakash Kumar, a bank manager, was burnt to death Monday inside the bank in the steel city Jamshedpur, police said.
Kumar, manager of Gramin Bank situated near Dimna locality of Jamshedpur, died in the fire that took place in the bank Monday morning. Police said the fire broke out at around 8.30 a.m.
“Preliminary investigation reveals that it was a short circuit which caused the fire. We are investigating the other angles of the incident,” a police official told IANS.
Kumar went to the bank at 8 a.m. to clear pending files and hand over charge to a new manager Monday. He was transferred to the Chandil branch of the bank.
