New Delhi : Veteran leader V.K. Malhotra will be the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) candidate for chief minister in the upcoming Delhi elections, the party announced Friday.
The decision was taken at the party’s central parliamentary board meeting.
“We will fight under his guidance,” senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley said at a press conference.
Malhotra, a former chief executive councillor of Delhi before it became a full-fledged state, represents the South Delhi constituency in the Lok Sabha.
