By IANS,

Bangalore : India will soon have its own state-of-the-art facility that will prepare vehicles, both cars and bikes, for racing and rallying.

Bangalore-based Red Rooster Racing is in the process of setting up Red Rooster Performance (RRP) facility on the outskirts of the city and will soon open similar workshops at select locations across India, according to the team’s managing director Dinesh Reddy.

Speaking on the sidelines of the launch of the Red Rooster Racing contingent of rally and racing teams in both two and four-wheeler categories here Thursday, Reddy said the RRP will be equipped with latest state-of-the-art equipment.

“The facility in Bangalore is likely to go into production in the next six weeks or so. At a later stage, we plan to open similar facilities across the country,” Reddy said.

The RRP will also cater to modification of street vehicles, be it cars or bikes, besides preparing motor sport machines.

Speaking to IANS, seven times National rally champion Narayanaswamy Leelakrishnan who will be in charge of the facility, said: “I always wanted to set up such a facility. For me, it is a dream come true. We will have separate teams to handle street vehicles and the racing/rallying machines.”
