Gandhinagar : Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) senior leader L.K. Advani will file his nomination Wednesday from the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency in Gujarat, a party official said Monday.
Advani was to file his nomination Monday afternoon. But he had to defer it as the BJP was celebrating its foundation day Monday.
The BJP leader had a very busy schedule in New Delhi that forced him to postpone filing his nomination papers, the official said.
Advani is expected to inaugurate the BJP’s state-of-art Gandhinagar office when he arrives here Wednesday, he said.
The former deputy prime minister is seeking re-election from the Gandhinagar seat for the fifth consecutive time.
