Last absconding suspect in Soumya Vishwanathan murder held

New Delhi : Ajay Sethi, one of five suspects in the murder of television journalist Soumya Vishwanathan, has been arrested from Haryana, police said Monday. The other four were arrested earlier in Delhi.

Delhi Police sleuths Sunday arrested Sethi from Faridabad and claimed to have recovered the Wagon R vehicle used in the crime.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Delhi) H.G.S. Dhaliwal confirmed the arrest.

The other four suspects arrested are – Ravi Kapoor of Madangir in south Delhi, who was described as the head of the gang, Baljeet Malik of Masoodpur, Amit Kumar Shukla of Lado Sarai, and Ajay Kumar of Munirka.

Soumya, 25, was found dead in her car in Vasant Kunj area of south Delhi around 3.30 a.m. on Sep 30, 2008. She was killed while returning from work to her home in Sector-C of Vasant Kunj.
