KUALA LUMPUR : The president and prime minister of Pakistan have congratulated Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on his appoint ment as Malaysia’s new prime minister.
President Asif Ali Zardari, in a statement here today, said that Najib’s excellent illustrious services to the country had deservedly earned the trust that the people of Malaysia had placed in his leadership.
He said he was confident that the bonds of friendship between the two fraternal countries would further expand and flourish under Najib’s able guidance.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani said he was confident that the bonds of friendship between Malaysia and Pakistan would grow from strength to strength under Najib’s wise and able leadership.
