New Delhi: Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said on Friday that he understand the pain and suffering of the Muslims community vis a vis mechanism to curb terrorism. He said that if he comes to power again his government would form a committee of Muslim intellectuals and think tank to look after genuineness of those arrested in matter related to terrorism.
Interacting with Urdu media at a five star hotel here today the prime mister said that he would try to form a national consensus before implementation of the Ranganath Mishra Commission report. “Had we implemented the report without consensus opposition would have made a hue and cry,” he clarified.
Inaugurating the web site of the All India Congress Committee in Urdu and congress manifesto in the same language, Dr Singh said in his second inning he would also try to evolve a mechanism to regulate the official scheme meant for the minorities.
On communal violence Bill prime minister said that he had received several objection and suggestions from Muslim NGO’s and groups. “We would bring the Bill in next parliament after checking the anomalies” he assured the community.
