Modi, who addressed four election rallies in favour of party candidates in Jharkhand, enumerated the work done by him in Gujarat and assured that the same development plank would be implemented in the country if the NDA wins.

Targeting the Congress and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he accused them of playing vote-bank politics and quoted Manmohan Singh’s statement made last year that Muslims should have the first right over natural resources of the country.

“At a meeting of chief ministers, the prime minister said that Muslims should have first right over natural resources of the country. The BJP says poor people should have the first right over resources of the country,” Modi said addressing a rally in Koderma district.

Wooing the tribal electorate, he said the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) central government had done nothing for the tribal people in the last five years. “It was the NDA government at the centre which had created a separate tribal affairs ministry to ensure development of the tribal people.”

Speaking to reporters in Ranchi, the BJP leader said: “NDA will form government at the centre. I have campaigned in several parts of the country and the people’s response is in favour of the NDA.”

“When elections were announced in March, rosy pictures were portrayed about the Congress and now the Congress’ balloon has burst. The UPA partners are getting separated and divided over the poll issue,” he said.

Attacking the Third Front, he questioned the existence of the conglomerate. “The Third Front does not exist. The existence of the Third Front is questionable as it was formed only at election time.”
