Jammu: A 21-year-old man from Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district was Saturday rescued by the Indian Army from militants who were coercing him to join their outfit, an official said.
Abdul Gani of Kunda village in the mountainous district was found in the Shapur Shal area, army spokesman Lt. Col. Biplab Nath said.
Gani, who was to join the Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit, was handed over to the police for questioning. However, none of militant recruiters has been arrested.
