Mumbai : A key index of the Indian equities markets closed 109 points lower Tuesday, a day after touching its 14-month high.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) ended trade on a low, moving down 109.44 points or 0.69 percent to 15,814.79 points (provisional).
The Nifty of the Indian National Stock Exchange (NSE), too, shut shop in the red at 4,676.4 points, down 0.74 percent.
Broader market indices closed mixed, with selling pressure pushing the BSE midcap index down 0.33 percent, while the BSE smallcap index ended 0.31 percent higher.
