Bank manager killed in Jharkhand

Ranchi: A bank manager was killed in Gumla district of Jharkhand Tuesday, police said.

According to police, some unidentified criminals barged into the house of Nityanand Mishra, a cooperative bank’s manager, in Dumri block of Gumla, around 140 km from here.

The assailants hit Mishra with iron rods on his head and then slit his throat.

Villagers of Dumri later blocked the Ranchi and Jashpur (Chattisgarh) roads, demanding that the attackers be immediately arrested. They alleged the local authorities were responsible for the killing.
