Raipur : Four Chhattisgarh residents who returned from Pune this week have complained of swine flu symptoms and their samples have been sent to New Delhi for testing, officials here said Wednesday.
The state government has set up a special cell at the Bhimrao Ambedkar Government Medical College and Hospital to tackle influenza A (H1N1) infection.
The four men – Jitendra Awasthi, 25, Imran Khan, 23, Jainaraian Jha, 30, and Adiya Tiwari, 17 – voluntarily visited the hospital Wednesday morning since they had symptoms similar to swine flu.
“The four men are suspected to have swine flu. Their samples have been sent to Delhi for testing,” Arvind Neral, head of the microbiology department of the hospital, told IANS.
He added that all four were given antibiotics and advised to remain quarantined in their houses till the test reports are received.
