Thiruvananthapuram: The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M)-led ruling Left Democratic Front in Kerala will expand its ministry Monday with three allies getting one minister each.
Left Democratic Front convenor Vaikam Viswan Friday said former minister P.J. Joseph (Kerala Congress-J), Kadannappally Ramachandran (Congress-S) and Jose Thettayil (Janata Dal-Secular-Gowda) will be sworn in.
“The decision on the portfolios for Ramachandran and Janata Dal-Secular-Gowda nominee would be decided later,” Viswan told reporters.
Joseph was the public works minister and had to quit nearly three years ago after being accused of molesting a woman.
Last month, Joseph was given a clean chit by a court in Chennai. Minister Mons Joseph, who replaced Joseph, announced Friday that he would submit his resignation Sunday.
